So so much more wonderful

I swear I've waited my whole life for this picture.

I've spent most of my days on earth waiting. Just waiting for things. Waiting for the future.

Now?

I just want it to slow the heck down.

A few weeks ago, I was reminiscing about how wonderful it was to hold a sweet tiny baby girl in my arms and how much I miss holding her.

But now these days-- I've got something that competes with those beautiful little moments.

The happy little awkward open mouth kisses (hundreds of them!) and the sweet moments where she chooses to come over to me giggling and smiling. You know...the thumb-sucking, let-me-lay-my-head-down softly on your knee and then give your knee little kisses moments...those. Those are just soo soo much more wonderful.

And I'm very happy about that.
