Happy May Day!

Even though I planted my tulip bulbs MONTHS late, they are still growing! |
Finally planted out the French fingerling potatoes! I decided to put them on the "side yard" because that area gets a lot of sunshine. I made two rows of 5 potato "seeds." I'm excited for all the potatoes we'll get just from these 10 "seeds." It'll be fun, hilling and mounding the potato plant underground and by August we'll have a great potato feast! :)

Due to the warm sunshine, the cauliflower and cabbage are doing much better! |
The carrots FINALLY came up! After 3+weeks!! They are messy and everywhere now, due to the evil visitor, but at least they've arrived. |
Planted some more beets and they are doing okay! |
Lettuce is ready for eating! I think I'll make a salad for dinner tomorrow. |
Radishes are doing better. They should have matured by now, but I think they will just take a couple more weeks, thanks to the evil visitor and the pouring down rain we got two weeks ago. |
Messy salad greens...but at least they are growing! |
(green?) Onions |
I've decided that things are growing a little too slowly due to not very much light. I purposely planted the cold-weather veggies in their locations because I didn't want them to get too much heat/sun during the summer. But I'm a little worried it's not enough sunlight right now in the spring. So we'll see if things actually grow to maturity...
