Amazing deals!

This weekend we made the purchases of our lives! Dan and I are frequent bargain furniture shoppers and we have finally hit the jackpot. Usually we don't find anything we like...or it's more like we can't find anything that we can afford. Recently we've been looking for another couch, because ours is completely awful. Although it is from my favorite place (Target) it is so small and definitely not comfortable enough. Well, we didn't find a couch like we had hoped. Instead we found two great deals at the Rooms to Go Outlet. The first is a big tv stand that fits our coffee table and tv really well. It was marked down from $400.00 to $79.99 - just because it has one scratch on the corner of the door. We can't find anything else that is wrong with it!!!
We also purchased another piece of furniture. It is also a tv stand, but this one was a little bit more beat up....but it was only $39.99, marked down from $450.00!!! We removed one of the broken doors and we are going to use it more as a bookcase/shelves.

We of course had to arrange our entire house to fit these two things in, but we're almost done! We still have to work on the chest above (change the handles and of course remove all the clutter that was built up from moving our entire house around!!)

We also bought two new rugs from Target for a steal...$100 worth of rugs for $35! Yes!

We're just so proud of our new purchases that we had to share with ya'll!!! :)

Orlando Temple and Mini Scott

A few weeks ago I was able to go to the Orlando Temple with some friends from church. The Orlando temple is so simple and elegant. Afterwards, we listened in to some of the speakers from President Hinckley's funeral. Overall, it was a great spiritual day!

Below is a picture Dan had me take of him. He looks just like his Dad Scott!!

Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day we kept it pretty simple and went out for Vietnamese (Carlie's favorite type of food!) at this restaurant we discovered in Pinellas Park. It is a bit of a drive, but the only Vietnamese that is somewhat close by. Dan got me pretty purple and pink flowers and we shared (and still are sharing) a nice box of belgian chocolates.
Since we are on the Activities Committe at church we also set-up for a ward party and then went to the party on Friday. It turned out to be fun, with good food and it was fun to hear how some of the couples met and to watch all the kiddies dance like crazy to music.

Disney Pics

Here are some of the pictures from our fun trip to Disney World.

The Castle was just as magnificent as we thought it would be!

Mickey's looking right at us!

After traveling in Europe during a cold cold winter, we were pros at being prepared for anything and everything. So once it started raining we whipped out our umbrella and happily strolled along Main St.!

Also, below is one of Carlie's favorite recent pictures of Dan. The bridge he is standing on is a bridge by our house on a trail that Carlie runs on weekly.
