Where to next?

Recently Dan and I have been talking about our future travelling plans. Basically we can't figure out what we want to do with ourselves career wise, so we are just going to travel and prolong having to make life determing decisions. It's easier this way.

Originally it was Argentina, then Costa Rica, then it was Europe again (seeing a lot more of Eastern Europe and Greece), last week it was teaching in Thailand...today we are thinking of visiting Thailand and Japan. We can't really make up our minds.

If anyone has any suggestions of great places to visit/live temporarily - let us know!! We're also taking suggestions on what the heck we should do with the rest of our lives too - feel free to offer any and all ideas. THANKS!

DISNEYWORLD!

We finally made it to Disneyworld this Saturday. We went to the Magic Kingdom and Disney MGM in the evening. Of course, it was amazing! We had a great time. The only bad part was that my camera battery didn't charge like it was supposed to so we had to buy a disposable camera and also it rained a little bit. But overall, we had a fantastic time. We went on nearly all the rides we wanted to go on. It's a Small World is still my favorite ride, it was the first one we went on. It was hard to resist getting in line to take a picture with Mickey and Cinderella, etc but I was good and let the little ones get their pictures in :D

Our favorite part was the Fantasmic show at Disney MGM at night. It was like a laser light show with water. It was the neatest thing because they projected clips from all the disney movies onto this fountain of water and there was a great storyline and...well, we just loved it! I now want to buy ALL the Disney movies.

Definitely, we can see how Disney would be ten times more fantastic if we had kids. There were so many kids there that looked like they were having the time of their lives! So we have that experience to look forward to in the future...

There is so much more to say about Disney, but we'll include more later once we develop our pictures and post them.

Now we are getting back to work, ugh!
We've got to plan something else to look forward to now...not sure what it will be?

Of other news, we were sorry to here about the prophet Gordon B. Hinckley passing away last night. He was an amazing man, I don't think either of us could say sufficient words to describe all that he has done for our church and for people all over the world. He will be missed!

Change.

Here's the semi interesting/exciting news in the Harris Family - Florida version.

  • Because of Carlie's new daytime work hours, we are ALMOST getting sick of spending so much time together. AND Carlie will be getting all future weekends off, SATURDAY and SUNDAY!! What are we going to do with so much free time together?? How great is this new job??? Plus, she finally got her name tag that says Hablo espanol!

  • We are going to DisneyWorld next Saturday!!! After weeks of Carlie talking nonstop Disney, we are finally going!!

  • Our friends the Linam's (Dan's friend from the boat and his wife) are moving to Clearwater in February!

  • We are actually starting to like Florida a little bit. Seriously....this is big news and we actually want to stay just a bit longer to keep saving up our money and enjoying the sunshine. We've had a week of cooler weather (50-60 degrees!) and we are not ready to be cold anytime soon.

  • We've been glued to the TV waching the election coverage and we are all for Hillary and Obama. Dan likes Obama a bit more than Hillary and Carlie wants Hillary to win, but wants Obama to win too. Change. We can't wait!

  • .....and last we both still can't decide what to do with the rest of our lives....wait...that's not exciting at all!

Target Oh Target!

Guess what???
I never have to work nights again!!!!!
I've received somewhat of a "promotion" at Target and now get to work during the days! I'm soooo excited. This week was my first week working in Inventory from 7am-3pm...no more 2am nights, no more staying up until 3-5am, no more seeing dan for only 5 minutes, no more ridiculousness that is closing Target, no more sleeping in until 1pm!!
My new job is super easy, I get good consistent morning hours, get paid more and I get to see Dan soooo much more!
Just wanted to share my excitement!

Frozen

New update: it's freezing cold here in Florida!!!!

Seriously...it's been in the 30's and windy at night and not much warmer during the day. BRRRR! But it's still bright and sunny of course! It was actually really refreshing to have crisp, cold air, but it also reminds us that we've gotten very used to being here in warm sunny Clearwater! The cool weather here is short lived though, it'll be nearly 80 by the end of the week. We are going to freeze to death if/when we have to leave FL!!

Of other importance we've just realized that Dan has been in the CG for nearly 1 year! It's gone by ridiculously fast AND ridiculously slow. He's also been living in FL for 9-10 months and I've been here for 7 months!

Sorry to talk mostly of the weather - but honestly it's the most exciting thing that's happening as of now - pathetic....
